A Christmas Story by Harper Charles: Where Children’s Dreams Become Craft

The company is particularly known for designing hotel - inspired master suites and luxury bedroom interiors within private homes.
Every Christmas carries a certain kind of magic - the sort that feels strongest when seen through the eyes of a child.
For this year’s Harper Charles Christmas campaign, we wanted to capture that feeling.
The idea was simple. What might the Harper Charles workshop look like if it were imagined by children?
The campaign brought together thirteen young performers from Colchester Stagecoach, who stepped into the roles of our own team. In the film, they take over the workshop, sketching designs, building toys and creating a magical Christmas toy box.
It was a playful reflection of how Harper Charles began.
The company was originally started in a grandparents’ garage, where the founders combined their skills in upholstery and joinery to create the first pieces of furniture under the Harper Charles name. Craft, curiosity and imagination have always been part of that story.
Seeing that same spirit through the eyes of young performers brought the idea full circle.
The campaign also became an opportunity to celebrate the local community that has supported the brand since the beginning. Alongside the film, Harper Charles partnered with Porsche Colchester to collect toys for children’s charities across the region.
Moments like these remind us that design and craftsmanship are often rooted in something very simple: imagination.
Because sometimes the most meaningful ideas begin the same way they do in childhood - with a sketch, a workshop and the belief that something magical might be possible.
